Im never a spendthrift to start with therefore it hurt damn a lot to part away with nice stuff which I've bought. When I realised the HDB crowd at the national day flea market were only interested in $2 things, I almost killed my heart selling my stuffs at that miserable price.
It was not much a debate whether to slash the price or to stop selling and bring home all the stuff since there was just no way I could have kept everything :(
Kiyo san has kindly given up some space in his storeroom for me and I cannot ask too much by storing more than 8 boxes right?
At the end of the flea market, I earned a pathetic $88 for 6 hours of non-stop standing and learnt never again to spend so easily in future. So the next time when you think, what can I lose more than $20 paying for something I like? Think twice. $20 maybe a small amount, but having something you cant take along with you and yet having to get rid of it someday is a big price to pay. It just takes everyone a little more discipline to reduce wastage of resources in this world.
Well, it is never more affirmative that I made the right choice to buy knowledge & experience in Paris, rather than beautiful dresses, shoes and jewellery...
Heres some photos of the flea market. Gorgeous and I had such great fun "lelonging", we actually didnt manage to clear all the clothes on the rack hahaha
At the end, we even became friends with the 2 young ladies mending the stall beside us. Gorgeous will probably cooperate with one of them to set up the stall next year.
Lovely Anita came and brought us some tea break to ease our fatigue. My best friend came with TH & mum to support me. Yes, she was again in her post jogging gears.. 16 km i think... urg.
I cant run a proper 3 km yet with my post-op left leg. On sat, as the wind was lousy, I bladed 6km from PA to Safra & back again. Again, I can feel that my leg has not gained back its balancing skills yet. Cant hold the glide as long with the left leg alone yet. Cant do a smooth criss-cross backwards like before.
It is taking longer than I thought to recover. Hopefully * cross the fingers & toes...with more exercise, i can at least do a half marathon in Paris in Mar08.
Next time if you find me balancing on 1 leg- like a flamingo while chatting to you, you should know why.
