Graduation ceremony

Today, we witnessed the convocation of the students of last year.
Everyone was dressed at their best as top managers in the Luxe industry graced the event.

As my parcels are still at the customs, AI lent me her precious coat for the event. She also invited Nond and I to her house- which was incidentally beside the hall where the grad ceremony was held on Rue Faubourg St Honore. Her house which is a mansion, is enormous and centrally located- just opposite Place de la Concorde. It was only 4 mansions from president Sarkozy's residence, 2 mansions away from the American embassy.

So from the top of her mansion, I had a good view of all the powerful people's gardens... but AI told me, sometimes the parties are too noisy and she did not like it.

AI's garden is huge too, it is meant to hold parties for 600 guests. As the invitees are usually older people, when she was bored, she would look down from her balcony and count the number of bald heads... *evil grin

We had LeNotre choc at her balcony which has a full view of the Effiel Tower. She taught me the card game "speed". And like kids, but dressed elegantly, we sat on the floor and viciously competed with each other to be the first to get rid of all our cards. It has been quite some time since my last card game :)

At the cocktail after the ceremony, I found Iching, the interviewer who interviewed me for this program in Shanghai. This photo with Iching is interesting- all the gals in the photo were born in Taiwan but did not grow up there.

I was staring hard to see if we all have any similarities.. and also if we are considered pretty :P Have been staring too much at the caucasians' features, compared to them, we can only be deemed cute. Our eyes and noses are so tiny...
