Wine tasting @ Monoprix & Oneology class & more at Michelle's house

The wind harvest was rather late this year due to poor weather *cold summer! Thanks to that, I managed to catch the wine tasting when the sale started at the Monoprix near my metro station. While eating cheese & salami, I managed to distinguish wines from Bordeaux, Loire valley & burgundy :) I didnt buy any, instead, I used my monoprix card to help Nico buy the grand cru bordeaux for his cellar. It was one for one at 25 Euros. Good buy!! Wine can be said, the main theme for my week, I attended my first Oneology class too. It was awesome, we had a guest speaker, the GM from the famous vinery in Bordeaux- PICHON COMTESSE. He let us try 3 different wines from his vine yard. The last one was incredible. Came from his oldest vineyard (35 year old). You have to buy it for 100 Euros/bottle. And the taste of it? it simply unforgettable! Could be one of the best Ive ever had... It was 6pm, and all of us was drinking on empty stomach. Most of us ended up pretty high, hahah. Here is Nond in his slightly red face. Weikung with his super duper "Bao Qing Tian" face. And my poor Akiko, with a very bored look. She hates wine :( So we cheered her up by going to a Jap restaurant with her. Somewhere between Le Pyramides & L'opera, there is a street called St Anne which is known as "little Japan". The six of us living in Paris decided to head there. By the time we reached the restaurant, it was 9pm & there was a short queue. We couldnt wait for a table of 6 anymore, hence we splitted up into groups of 2 and 4 so that we can get our udon & dons ASAP.

The meal was very decent by Parisian standard, not exactly up to my expectation though. A bowl of Udon for 12 euros, with only 1 fried tempura in an "european" looking restaurant. How I yearn for "Sushi tei" back home...
On friday, Ginger needed some photos of french on bicyles for her Le figaro article. Since class ended early and weather was good. We went "photo catching" around Hotel de Ville.
We found a wine bazzar under the bridge linking Notre Dame to St Michael. It was a display of wines & produce from the south. I couldnt resist a sweet aperitif wine I tried so, Chris and I bought it :) Ginger even managed to bargain for some more discount! hahaha
At the end, I brought the bottle to our class party that night where all of us were pissed drunk by 2am. It was a good way to destress from the long week.
