This exactly contradicts a mandarin phrase 世上沒有不勞而貨的事。
Yet we all have seen people born with silver spoon, driving a posh at an age of 20, or someone who has won money from lottery or even married a rich partner and inherited a great fortune.
All these defies 世上沒有不勞而貨的事. So, call me stupid or inflexible or what, I always knew that I will never accept myself if I were really someone who only wants wealth without work.
Today I read a book and realise my thoughts were rather similar to the great man- Mahatma Gandhi's (except he is 1million times wiser than me!!!!).
He said, there were 7 sins in the world:
1) wealth without work
2) pleasure without conscience
3) knowledge without character
4) commerce without morality
5) science without humanity
6) worship without sacrifice
7) politics without principle
1) wealth without work
2) pleasure without conscience
3) knowledge without character
4) commerce without morality
5) science without humanity
6) worship without sacrifice
7) politics without principle
Wherever you are Gandhi, you must be glad you are no longer in this world. If you are around, you will be super disappointed how the world has become and to know that your idealistic philosophy will never stand.
It could be too ignorant and ambitious to think that one can fight all these sins by doing one's part. To err is none other but human nature. But if you are reading this, at least I am creating some awareness...
Its time to say, yes ive sinned, but I try not to in future...
