What's Moscow?
A city of colourful cathedrals, beautiful girls, rude & strange men, bad roads and language which I dont understand.
How amazing that we survived walking on heels every day! Im v happy to be back in Paris.
The contradiction was trying to find out the lifestyle of the RICH RUSSIANs given VERY LIMITED BUDGET.
On top of worrying how to reach our destinations, we worried about having enough money to invite our interviewees to a tea/meal... to save money, we commuted by metro and survived on crepes on the streets and stayed in someone's shabby apartment with dirty sheets... Ultimately we probably still have to dig into the poor students savings to finance some of our meal expenses :(
One of the nights, Ginger was so pissed and tired that she was complaining about our stingy project sponsor for 1 hour. So as not to rub salt on the wound, I stood up for the absurd company's no budget policy. It was a challenge finding good arguments as we were suffering a lot each day. I really detest myself for always trying act most appropriately for the good of everyone.
I want to speak my mind and be sincere to my feelings but there is no point making things worse.
Fortunately it was a fruitful trip, but we did not get any support we needed for sure. Everything achieved was due to our own efforts.
Only 25 days to go. We are gritting our teeth.
