A "Get-away"

I totally understand the meaning of a "get-away" after coming back to Paris recharged. One really needs to leave his environment/comfort zone at least once in every 3 months for about 1 week. ça fait du bien!

In a new environment, you see things in a different perspective. Suddenly the things you revolved your life around seem so insignificant and you can engage in new activities which gives you a different sort of pleasure.

I read "the good guy" by Dean Koontz on the beach and by the pool. Suspense novels are
the best, you have to finish it it a day before the suspense kills you and makes you lose your focus on other things in life.

ET tried to catch my attention but totally failed. Vaguely hear him grumbling in the background "I never knew you like to read".

I lost in chess but it was fun. Next time, Im going to use my queen the way you did to kill my men! Murderess!!
We also had time to complete a Soduku which was the first I did in my life *paiseh! I used to think Soduku are for retirees who need to keep their brains working. It is actually quite addictive.

Although I strike the strangest postures when playing pool, I won with a 2-1 in a 3 days tournament.
