I may sound late in my wishes as the public holidays in Singapore was last friday but it is today (monday) in France. And why it is so, I still dont know. It supposedly falls on a friday too in London. Wierd.
I happily slept in till 1130am today until my bedroom was too bright that even covering my face in my quilt didnt help. Then I realised that the supermarket is opened till only 1pm today! Always felt like a superstar when I have to hide my just woken up face under a cap and run to the supermarket in my track suit and runners. haha
This would never have been an issue in Singapore, I could go marketing anytime. haiz.. Yesterday was a Sunday and after my jog at 2pm, I made a futile trip to the market. No wonder the french women are such early birds, sleeping in isnt an option at all!
Well my objective today is to laze around as the last 3 weeks was 'eye-bag cultivating'. I was sick for a full 8 days, then worked on 2 projects which burnt 1 entire weekend and many nights, then I visited ET in Britanny for 2days the weekend after. Britanny was lovely except for unpredictable weather, I will post photos in another entry.
In between, I tried to find time to meet my 'Son' who came back from Thailand to pack up to go back permanently. It was sad to say byebye to him as we were really v good neuilly buddies. In order to spend time with him, I sacrificed sleep, we even baked an yoghurt cake at my home together at 1 am.
And we also went to the Sonia Rykiel exhibition where he bummed into Sonia!
I was invited by Francois, a buddy in the IT department, to catch France qualifying for world cup. A close fight with Lithuanie at the Stade Au France. Phew! France shoot a goal near the end of the 2nd half. Wearing th french jersey did bring some luck!
Last friday, the project on Rome had 'tomber a l'eau' and I guess I worked for nothing. Under influence of my IT colleagues, I decided since life is like that at work, i'd better be kinder to myself and take some time to enjoy life. We had this amazing dinner at Place Monge and I gorged myself with so much foie gras that I need a confession.

Dear Mary,
Last Friday was Good Friday that's why there were holidays in Singapore and London I guess...
Whereas Sunday was Easter Sunday, and some places had holidays on the Monday as well... hope this helps!
Cheers,
Suet
