Sailing Part 2/2

The colourful spi

English breakfast on Jersey

Mussels dinner back in San Malo... i was exhausted at the end of the trip as you can see

Our boat

On the way back into the port, captain ET was busy keeping the sails and ropes while I steered the boat and took pictures... was glad we made in back safely despite the unfortunate incidents of:
1. The buoy entangled in the propeller of the motor leading to ET having no choice but to dive into the 10 deg cold sea to cut the ropes with a kitchen knife (i say a little prayer for the dive knife which is now buried in the deep sea). The result was a 1 hour delay in our arrival at Jersey... I was so hungry and upset at 11pm, a 5 km from the shore, while we were welcomed by a 10 min display of fire works in celebration of the bank holiday. Ive never seen fireworks from the sea before and it was totally a different feel. Captain ET who was no longer trembling took over the steer while I moved to have a good view of the fireworks at the front tip of the boat. The finale was a heart-shaped pink firework, the first Ive ever seen.

I'd like to have a good pot of mussels with fries. We didn't have that in Paris, Annecy or Charmonix when we were there. Pity pity!!
