The reason we went back to Singapore after France (5 weeks ago) for a short 2 days was to help out with KB Li's big day. It was a bit tough for ET as he was very jetlagged, but we were glad to be part of their wedding memories.
Background info: One fine day last year in the Wine company @ Dempsey, just the 2 of us met at 1030pm after work. We ordered some lousy french wine and Ah li pulled out a ring in a box from her bag and announced she was getting married. Congrats I said and we found an excuse to Zipai (took a self portrait)
Bachelorette Fruit Beer Binging: The night I touched down, we discussed the program details with the groom-to-be @ his home and kidnapped KB Li to a bar. I was exhausted...
On the day of the snatching of bride, all the sisters united in pink. KB qi on my right was chauffeuring me around in her red sportcar since 630am and it was her birthday. How good a sister is she!
Some photos with the pretty bride before the groom and gang arrived. What a ravishing bride!
After the ceremony, I went back to fetch ET to the restaurant for our Emcee job.
The ROM was held in a room having a splendid view of the city. Et said we must come back for drinks... and I was laughing so hard as no one goes to a chinese restaurant just for drinks!
If I have had a chinese dinner wedding I would be like KB li, sneaking aound to eat. She actually came to our table 2x just to EAT. the cod fish and the desert. I must say she was really smart as our table was hidden behind the pillar away from everyone's eyes and she could eat in peace. Plus the food was 2 thumbs up!
Et cracked a joke in mandarin as a Emcee and it was pretty well received. I would never forget this episode. We practiced countless times before he finally delivered it. Imagine all the anxiety leading to that moment? I was so proud of him! The groom feedbacked that his family was impressed that they managed to "hire" an angmo to speak mandarin. I should sell my hubby's emcee service in Singapore as a novelty performance :P
A week later, I came back to Spore from Dubai and they got back from their honeymoon. So we caught up quickly and I received a beautiful scarf from Chiangmai. Such a lovely couple :) Wishing them a blessed marriage.
