My delivery boy

Here's my delivery boy sending the quiche and tart to the Darwin Aikido Dojo. Photo was taken at the carpark as we find it unrespectful to take photos of our dojo which is kind of the shrine for our Osensei.

This day was special, we had Brian sensei's farewell plus the daughter of the Aikikai president's visit. Everyone brought something and we had a picnic on the mat after training.

Such a pity that Brian sensei is leaving us, he has been a good sensei. Being tall and lanky easily makes him look good in the hakama. Plus he has such soft straight hair- rare for Oz, and when the fan blows on him, he looks like a manga character, ready for a fight. Such style! We will miss having him around.

In Australia, people tend to be mobile. We often hear of Oz migrating to another city especially so from Darwin as it is not a city for retirement (too expensive & hot!). You can live in Ballina for 2 years but it will only last you 1 year in Darwin.

Saying that, we are also moving- in fact, tomorrow! to the waterfront! YOUPI!!!! :) You cant believe how much effort it took to nail this apartment. There is an over demand and undersupply of properties in the city and the housing agents are practically kings.

To illustrate how expensive life is in Darwin, we have to pay A$358 just to install a phone line to transfer my broadband over with Telstra in the new apartment. Our landlord has no heart to equip the apartment, and, thats Oz! Anyhow, thankfully the excitement takes over all the tiny unpleasantness, we are just happy to be moving to our dream home on the wharf.

Final coffee moment at our current balcony, Et and his "what else?" expression. Cracks me up!!!
