It has always seemed strange to me... the things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty, understanding and feeling, are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness, egotism and self-interest, are the traits of success. And while men admire the quality of the first they love the produce of the second.

CARROTS!
.. well it is not due to our art history prof who told us that carrots in still life paintings (nature morte) in the 16th century represents sexuality... actually the carrot symbolises the male's xxx and the cauliflower was the symbol for the female.
anyway, its all becoz I made this big bowl of salad with boiled carrots. And as Im eating, I realise how much I cant stand carrots and wonder how in the world I make myself feed on chunks of them!
For at least 10 years Ive abstained from the orange frightful looking underground root. And now, just becoz I need the nutrition to keep myself healthy ( well with akiko, none & daniel sick on leave for the last week, I wonder when I will catch the wierd bug too! ), I made myself swallow them.
Im a MASOCHIST *_*
I absolutely HATE/DETEST/LOATHE/ABHOR CARROTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! URG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suet babe! Yes we used to abstain from carrots together at lunch.. you know, i am sick now, will never ever force myself to eat carrots since it doesnt seem to be worth the torture.
You study hard too...hope life is meaningful for you :)
