LV Museum visit

There is a street called Louis Vuitton at the outskirts of Paris where the very first atelier of LV was founded. Today, it is a museum for special guests & an atelier for 250 workers.

We were very honored to be invited to visit it although it was on the wettest day in Paris ever! The rain did not stop for the entire day.

Photos were not allowed in the workshop, otherwise you can see all the custom-made luggages & bags. It was awesome, the amount of dedication each worker give to fabricate the bags.

By chance we bummed into Patrick Louis Vuitton- the 6th generation of the LV family. He looked like a simple man in a white worker's coat walking around the atelier and said hi to us. Our tour guide joked with us, saying "dont think that Mr Louis Vuitton is always in his summer house in the south!"

It sets me thinking... in Asia we say that wealth cannot be kept more than 3 generations. Perhaps it is an exception in France. Hermes is another good example too.

As usual we were invited to champagne & mingling sesion. Nanako played beautifully on the piano and we were impressed... No wonder she works for Yamaha.

It was still raining when we left LV. Nond, Naf and I decided to go to SON ENTRECOT for steak & fries before heading home. Steak there never fails me :)
