Roller blading at Rive Gauche (right bank of La Seine)

Having suffered a week of cold and rain, we were rewarded with a 21 degrees Sunday!

All year round, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. : the river bank traffic lanes on Sundays are closed for bladers and cyclists- from Quai des Tuileries(Paris 1) to Charles de Gaulle bridge (Paris 12)

So the 9 of us met at Metro Tuileries at 230pm. It was supposed to be 11 of us but on the way there, Jose crashed into a motorbike and Marie-Noelle brought him to hospital to make sure he didnt break any part of his body. Thank god he was ok..

At Tuileries, the Parisians were basking under the sun on the grass as we passed by, everyone was out there enjoying the sun!

To reach the lanes at the river bank, I needed Ed's support as I didnt want to go down the cobble-stone slope. He is super duper gentlemanly!

It was a hazardous day. Steph's velib broke, we had to walk the bike to change for another at the next velib station. At the end of the session, Brent's wheel on his rollerblade broke into pieces, so we had to wait for him as he struggled to meet us under the bridge.

Finally we had high tea at the Bercy Village. As the clouds moved in, it became colder and Steph lent me her pink cardigan :)
The final problem we met was Tyler's key for the velib lock broke and he couldnt unlock the chain. As no one works on Sunday, we have to leave the velib after reporting the issue.

The weather forecast states that the weather for the coming week will be terrible. I cant complain, at least I can dwell on memories of this beautiful weekend.
