One way of staying disciplined is to jog. Bois de Boulogne is like a labyrith, each time I jog there, I still get lost. It got a bit embarrassing when I was supposed to orientate my new friend, Lisa, in the woods last week.
Anyway the last time I jogged, other than losing my way, I had an unpleasant experience. It is not something worth mentioning and yet I really have to get it out of my chest.
I was at the traffic light on the way back with ear phones stuck into my ears when this 45 yr old french man crashed into me and stepped on my shoes.
He started shouting at me and as I couldnt hear him, I simply ignored him. I would have forgotten this incident if not for the fact that ET who was jogging with me, started to quarrel with him in the middle of the road.
Apparently I was insulted as that guy said " what is the damn chinese doing in my way! " When I reached home and found out what happened I was so angry, but it was too late.
Today, a french friend taught me 2 useful phrases on how to rebut such uncivilized people whom he is also very embarrassed of:
Achete-toi un cerveau ( buy yourself a brain )
Vous etes mal eleve ( you are not brought up properly )
Honestly if I see that guy again, I just want to beat the daylights out of him.
