Mental Strength & Discipline

To give my life a routine, I jog in the afternoon whenever the weather is good and when I do not have to meet anyone.

Yeah! Finally managed not to get lost in the labyrinth the 5th consecutive time. I can reach Lac Inferieur, loop it, and come back in 45 mins now. Think that covers an estimated 5-6 kms...

It was a struggle to gain back my stamina as I had totally trashed my health over the last year. Muscles had shrunked and I lost all strength. Pathetic.

One useful tip I use when my body screams fatigue for me to stop running is J's advice I found on her blog:

Accept discomfort. It's real. Use all of your mental resources to keep it from slowing you down.

I thought your blog on jogging was going to bore me, but apparently not! Certainly hope that my jogging trips will become easier after a few more training sessions.
