Stop, Revive, Survive

That's the slogan of travelling the Outback highway... which I will adopt for Jude Junior (my revived Macbook)

2 weeks ago, poor Jude went into darkness and was rushed to the hospital (Mac Shop). 3 days later I got a call that he was diagnosed officially brain dead (hard disk crash) and required a new brain implant which would cost 300 bucks.

Jude is my first laptop and I didnt expect that to happen since he was only 2.5 year old. Lost all the info and contacts I prepared for job search including the most updated CV....plus lotsa photos...how could that happen when Im in the process of starting a new life here?! :(

Took me 2 more days to accept it, the turning point came when Don agreed to look at my hard disk when I return to Singapore. Hope was the solution! :) Just as that happened and lifted my spirits, I got a call from Mac Shop telling me that they will replace the hard disk for me for free!

Collected Re-born Jude Junior and literally feel like I got a new computer. Jude Junior is smarter than his predecessor (doubled storage) and has better education (the newest Mac OS installed).

From now on, Jude Junior will go to sleep every night when I sleep. Adopting Stop, Revive, Survive, I hope he survives another 3 years.

And yes! must always back up my data diligently...
